Bukit Bintang & KLCC: Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle for Shopping, Dining & Nightlife

From Pavilion KL to Jalan Alor, our insider's guide to Bukit Bintang & KLCC — the luxury, food, and nightlife heart of Kuala Lumpur in 2026.

If Malaysia had a couture label, it would live right here. The 562-metre covered walkway connecting Bukit Bintang to KLCC is arguably the most glamorous retail corridor in Southeast Asia — air-conditioned, lantern-lit after dusk, and book-ended by two of the most photographed landmarks in Asia: Pavilion KL's crystal fountain and the 451.9-metre Petronas Twin Towers.

It is where Kuala Lumpur's fashionable locals, Gulf royals, and savvy travellers go to shop, dine, people-watch, and close the night at rooftop bars. Here is how to do the Golden Triangle like you know the city better than you actually do.

Quick Facts Box

  • Neighbourhoods: Bukit Bintang (BB) + Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC)
  • Connecting link: 562 m air-conditioned walkway
  • Metro stops: KLCC (LRT Kelana Jaya), Bukit Bintang (Monorail, MRT)
  • Best time to visit: Year-round; bonus if your trip overlaps the Malaysia Mega Sale Carnival or Year-End Sale
  • Average meal cost: RM 15 (hawker) / RM 60 (mid-range) / RM 250+ (fine dining)
  • Ranking: KL was named 4th among the world's top ten shopping cities by CNN

Shop Like a Pro: Bukit Bintang's Shrine to Retail Therapy

Pavilion Kuala Lumpur

The undisputed queen of KL shopping, Pavilion hosts Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Gucci, and a Michelin-quality food basement. The Liuli Crystal Fountain in the main atrium is recorded in the Malaysia Book of Records as the tallest of its kind in Malaysia.

Starhill Gallery

280,000 sq ft of luxury layered across seven themed floors. Chopard, Louis Vuitton, and Audemars Piguet anchor the top-tier watch floor. The Feast Village at basement level is a Michelin-worthy destination in itself.

Fahrenheit88

Directly across from Pavilion; home to Royal Selangor pewter, Japanese street fashion labels, and a large Brands Outlet.

Lot 10

The green-and-blue striped icon housing Isetan, H&M, and the subterranean Lot 10 Hutong — a hawker hall featuring heritage Malaysian stalls handpicked from across the country.

Sungei Wang Plaza

Classic old-school Bukit Bintang. Gadget stores, fashion bargains, and the nostalgic arcade feel of late-90s Hong Kong. Next door sits Plaza Low Yat, Malaysia's largest IT lifestyle mall.

Berjaya Times Square

3.45 million sq ft, 1,000+ retail lots, and an indoor theme park on the 5th and 7th floors. Great for rainy afternoons with kids.

KLCC — Suria, Avenue K, and Quill City

Suria KLCC

At the foot of the Petronas Twin Towers, Suria KLCC is the jewel of KLCC shopping. Expect Isetan, Parkson Grand, Marks & Spencer, Aseana (pan-Asian fashion), Pucuk Rebung (ethnic art), Chanel, Burberry, Tiffany & Co., and the excellent Asian Flavours Food Court.

Avenue K

A six-storey contemporary lifestyle mall directly across from Suria KLCC. Think Uniqlo, H&M, Cotton On, and the fun Breakout Escape Room on the top floor.

Quill City Mall

Close to Medan Tuanku, Quill City holds more than 320 stores and the region's first floating media pod.
